Welcome to MotherWork

Bringing a new baby into the world is one of life's most transformative experiences. As a culture, we are in a transition from scheduled bottle feeding and mother/baby separation to breastfeeding and bonded parenting.  The first three months are all about feeding, reading your baby's cues, comforting, soothing, and sleep.  Suddenly the rules of your life have changed. This is MotherWork -- A whole new world with a rhythm of its own.

During this time two very important people need accurate, caring support: the mother and her baby. Cynthia Epps provides individualized feeding plans for the new mother-infant pair in the comfort of your own home.

MOTHERWORK: \’me-therwerk\:
"MotherWork" answers the question so many of us are asked as new mothers "What do you do all day?"
It is learning to live in the present moment with conscious compassionate awareness of the care and feeding needs of your human infant; soothing, comforting, rocking, feeding, bathing, dressing, changing, playing; interacting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

MotherWork is a life sustaining work of the heart,
an on-going practice of personal surrender.
Parenting from simple presence.

Consultations

Consults normally average 90 minutes to 2 hours in the comfort of your home. However, due to the Covid-19 crisis, my practice has shifted to telephone, Facetime, or Skype consults with email follow up and handout support. You may book 45/60/90 minutes, depending upon your questions and concerns about infant feeding. Newborn guidance, latch issues, milk production/supply, pumping, plugged ducts/mastitis management, paced bottle feeding, colic and or reflux consults, transitioning to solids and gentle weaning consults are available. Please send inquiries here or contact me at the home office (310) 458-6430.

Please keep breastfeeding or breastmilk feeding to enhance your infant's natural immunity during this critical time!
